HATHA YOGA 

Hatha Yoga is a balance of the mind, body and soul. My classes incorporate breath and body awareness, body movement, mind and body relaxation. Through this practice one nurtures their entire body. Join us for a morning or evening yoga class, with classes available 5 days a week.

 

Hatha is translated as ‘ha’ meaning ‘sun’ and ‘tha' meaning ‘moon’. It literally means ‘sun moon yoga’. It focuses on finding the balance of masculine aspects—active, hot, sun—and feminine aspects—receptive, cool, moon—within all of us.

 

ASANA

Asana is the gate through which most westerners enter yoga practice. Asanas are movements and postures developed thousands of years ago to exercise every muscle, nerve and gland in the human body. Asanas are not just stretching, toning or muscle building. They are a sequence of movements to unify breath, body and mind as one, not as independent of one another.

 

PRANAYAMA

Pranayama focuses on regulating the flow of energy throughout the body using the breath. Yoga breathing techniques cleanse on a deeper level to create more ideal conditions in our body for energy to circulate; purifying our environment within.

 

YOGA NIDRA

Yoga Nidra is a meditative practice for deep relaxation and healing. It outlines a systematic guide to awareness of the breath, body and senses. During the practice of Yoga Nidra, the body and mind float down to a state of deep relaxation where healing can occur.

 

In my opinion, this experience holds the key to inner peace and wisdom; and a well being within yourself, in your relationships, and in your daily life.

 

 

MEDITATION

The practices of meditation are designed to help you look into your life with interest and kindness, to see past the stories we tell ourselves, to discover the sanctuary that is inside of you that is pure and whole.

 

It’s a personal experience to your inner world that words can rarely adequately describe.

 

Yoga practices guide us to a place beyond the racing mind of thoughts and stories and it is here where we can hear the whispers of silence to discover answers that each of us have in our heart of wisdom book.
